Mesilla Valley Music Festival
The Mesilla Valley Music Festival is an annual gathering of artists, educators, and audiences dedicated to celebrating the transformative power of music in Southern New Mexico.
Over the course of the festival, audiences experience a full symphony orchestra, internationally acclaimed guest artists, chamber performances, and a culminating community jazz collaboration. Students across Las Cruces engage directly with visiting musicians through masterclasses, side-by-side performances, and mentorship.
The festival bridges classical tradition and contemporary energy while investing directly in the cultural future of the region.
Opening Night: Festival Orchestra
James Dion Blanchard conducts the Festival Orchestra in a dynamic program featuring flutist Anthony Trionfo. Mozart, Ravel, Borne, and Beethoven open the Mesilla Valley Music Festival with brilliance and energy.
Artist Spotlight | Anthony Trionfo and Kevin Ahfat in Recital
Anthony Trionfo and Kevin Ahfat take the stage for a powerful recital exploring the expressive range of the flute and piano. From lyrical introspection to dazzling virtuosity, this program features works by Harberg, Taktakishvili, Gubaidulina, Parker, Clarke, and Krakamp/Briccialdi.
An intimate evening of artistry and bold musical storytelling, presented as part of the Mesilla Valley Music Festival. A suggested donation of $20 supports our artists and educational initiatives.

Puccini's La Bohème
Maestro Jorge Martinez-Rios conducts the Borderland Arts Opera Orchestra in this concert version of Puccini's tragic opera, La Bohème. The orchestra will be joined by a nationally recognized cast of up-and-coming opera singers who have performed in some of the most prestigious venues in the United States including the Santa Fe Opera and the Utah Opera.
